I was a teacher there. This is by far the most racist school I have worked at. The only thing related to quality they have is the name. The authorities are tyrants and despotic and they violate the contracts they force teachers to sign. On top of that, they use basketball players to get publicity, yet disregard the rest of the kids. By far the worst school I have been to in my 20 years of teaching career. If you love your kids this is NOT the school for them.

This school tampered with state data with regards to AYP and EOG scores. They hired parents to proxy administering tests so that answers could be given to the students and they also falsified information stating a 100% pass rate on Eog's. Not true at all. The state of NC needs to further investigate and declare the school inept in teaching quality education thus taking the charter away. Extremely racist and is ran like 1930's Germany--very tyrant-like.

My son was seriously hurt due to lack of supervision on the playing area outside. Mr. Johnson, who is the "principle" told me that his injury was not serious enough for a teacher to escort him inside the building. (my son's arm was broken because the teachers allowed the students to play TACKLE football. My son is in the 5th grade and was TACKLED be a 6th grader. He has had to have surgery on his arm because of this) Mr. Johnson does not have the BEST interest for the students who attend that school. When I asked Mr. Johnson why the parents of the other child weren't notified his reply was "I don't know.' Administrators who give such answers and show lack of care for injured students should not be in charge of ANY CHILDREN!

This school tampered with EOG results and testing material. There are teachers there who gave students the answers on the EOG. Also, one of the administrators (Isaac Pitts) is a convicted felon, and to my knowledge, convicted felons should not be working with children. There were days when teachers were not given breaks or a planning period, which is against the law. Their motto is "whatever it takes" and they do whatever it takes, including illegal actions, so that their EOG scores look great. Quality Education Academy does not care about children, they only care about numbers and scores, and they will do whatever is necessary to obtain the numbers and scores they need. This school needs to be investigated by the state and shut down for tampering with state test results and falsifying their accomplishments.

I reccomend this school because they allowed my son to stay with his social group while taking some subjects with the upper grades since he was somewhat more advanced that his class. This allowed him to stay a child while not holding back his capacity for learning. He is reading 2 levels above his grade and is 1 level above in math. The only thing I do not like is the lack of a diviersified arts program that encourages singing and acting. (They had one and it was the best and I wish they would bring it back)

I have been going to this school for almost 10 years. In these ten years I have obtained a special talent that I use in my daily life. Before coming to QEA i was labeled as being a mentally challenged child. At my previous school my parents where told that I would never amount to be anything in this life, because of my educational disability. My parents where so fed up with Forsyth County public school system it was to the point where they pulled me out. When my parents found a teacher who was employed at QEA she referred us to this school. Since coming to this school it has been proven that I am not a mentally challenged child. I am currently in the 11th grade at Quality Education Academy highschool school of business and entrepreneurship. I have a 3.19 gpa obviously not the GPA of mentally challenged child. I am on my way to the college that i would like to go toOkay now to talk about the lies that have been put forth about our school. Our school has never cheated on test scores to make us look better. It was the dedication of our teachers, and hard work of ours students that got to the top. We are currently one the highest ranked schools in the state of North Carolina. You can go on the site and see it of yourself. On to the teachers not getting a break I have never experienced not seeing a teacher take a break. They take a break all the time. I dont appreciate the allegations put forth against my school.

I taught in Guilford County Schools for years, and was brought up in WS/FC Schools-and decided to leave for something better. This is my 9th year at QEA. I am at QEA now because I know the loving teachers and staff sacrifice their lives for our children. No teachers work any harder ANYWHERE (coming early, staying late, whatever it takes!) to help children grow.
Sadly, we expect negative comments from some because "When I would do good, evil is always present". You can go to NC Report Card to see the great scores online, but more importantly, you can come by and see for yourself! Loving people. Strong leadership. Discipline. The BEST school for our children by far!

I was not satisfied with the content and level of education my daughter was getting in traditional public school. I had heard and seen wonderful events taking place at QEA and enrolled my daughter, Tamera in Pre-K. She was reading fluently at four and recited her first poem by Maya Angelou, "Phenomenal Woman" as a Pre-K student! Not only did my child graduate from QEA at 16, but she was accepted into a private college that year! She now attends Livingstone College, as a happy and well-rounded freshman. QEA is the best kept secret!

My daughter has attended Quality Education Academy (QEA) since Kindergarten in 2006. Finding a great school was very important to me. When we took a tour of the school, we fell in love with it! The school was very organized and the students behaved in a disciplined manner. We felt that this school was perfect for our child because 1) they incorporated interactive learning, 2) they provided a safe and secure environment, and 3) they teach the children responsibility. We decided that a 20 minute drive from our house to the school was a small sacrifice to make when compared to the long-term benefits of a ''Quality'' education. During my daughter's 2nd grade year, her teacher noticed that she was working on an advanced level and suggested possibly having her take classes in the 3rd grade. The 2nd grade teacher coordinated with the 3rd grade teacher, and my daughter was allowed to take math and spelling classes on the 3rd grade level. She ended up with an A average in both classes! This is an example of how Quality Education Academy will cater to your child's needs. I thank GOD for giving Mr. Simon Johnson the idea/vision to begin such a wonderful school. I am proud to see the school grow so much during the last six years. I say ''Try QEA!

I LOVE QEA because I feel like it is biblically-based, teaches morals, builds character, self-esteem and virtue. Over the last 8 years, QEA has taught my son, Alphonse, integrity and shown him he can be more. At QEA he is a person and not just a number. He has gotten a better sense of who he is. He loves it and has a great relationship with all his teachers. I want my grandchildren to go to QEA—everyone with children should! QEA shows that we can compete and do as well or better than others. The CEO and administration are really for our children. We need to understand that we have something great in QEA! The name is true: Quality is just what the school is.
