The climate is extremely political. Who you know could help you get out of trouble. There is no trust among the faculty. The administration is extremely secretive and responds to issues without doing a thorough invstigation.

We have found LNC to be a great school. Quality teachers and administrators. An open atmosphere where anyone who wishes can become quickly involved. Our son has done better in this environment then in the normal public school environment. This has occurred because of the effective open communication by the teacher have allowed us to help monitor his study habits and be more active in his learning at home. Highly recommend this school

I have read the other parent comments and I know everyone has a right to their personal opinions and I respect that. I would like to speak from my heart and tell any new parent concerned with some of these comments that the staff at Lake Norman are very serious and dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and loving environment for students. I am an involved parent that has been supporting fundraising efforts to raise additional dollars for campus improvements and technological advancements. We are getting a private education for free with all the additional tools that most students never have the opportunity to receive in their lifetime. My husband and I look at this as a blessing and a gift to my daughter! She is a rising 6th grader and her first year was amazing. The teachers are so driven, loving and focused on providing their students with the best education they possibly can. They provide tutoring after school, they support special needs students in the classroom, and they don't teach to the test. All learning styles are accommodated in all subjects. In my personal opinion I could not use the word arrogant to describe the great people in this school. I would refer to them as focused, driven and passionate leaders. I can never thank the LNC staff and the 5th grade team of teachers for treating my daughter like a member of their family. This is a rare, unique, and special environment for students transitioning into middle school. I am lucky I hit the lottery!!!
