Before I start my review, I would like to inform all of you reading that this is one of the best schools I've gone to. But, beyond all that, there are some major faults. First off, hours for this school are very flexible, and if help is needed, there are always tutors available, although I cannot say the same for teachers. The teachers are supposed to be available for help at most times of the day that stay within reason. That would be true, except it seems as though they do not seem to be "on call" for even a split second on the weekends, which would be very helpful, considering the homework can be challenging, and "LiveLessons" are not the best teaching experience from a students standpoint. For those unaware, this LiveLesson (via adobe connect), is sort of a live feed from the teachers computer, with students being able to "talk" to them. I say that in quotations, just for the fact that the schools website claims that you can voice-chat with your teachers, but that is only if the teacher allows it. Realistically, if your average school-teacher had a mute button for their students, they would use it. Summing this up, you maybe get to actually talk to one of your teachers a month.
Now, onto the next point I'd like to make. If you are FOR SURE going or are planning to this school. MAKE SURE you are okay with being at home 24/7. The clubs are very unappealing and offer a limited variety of choices. These range from chess club to movie club. If you are a gamer, these do not sound very appealing. Anything else that is a social interaction, even if advertised, is not an option. PLEASE seek a third-party program for your kids, because I rarely get out of the house. Take this from someone who has experienced this first hand. I really wish I had tried a more local program, that actually offered human interaction.
Overall, do I recommend this program? Yes, if no other option is available. Anything else, please take into major consideration, because unless you want to read things off of a monitor for a year strait, do not do this program.
