Quality of teaching is below acceptable especially in high school - only there because of tenure. Money is not well allocated - many unused pieces of equipment that are needed in other classes. Administration is unapproachable, demeaning and not forthcoming with expenditure information. They are not willing to consider what the parents want. In addition, school should be merged with other local school - Elwood to eliminate completely unnecessary spending. Tax hikes are much too high and cuts are required, Administation is unwilling to look at the high level employment as potential cuts but continues to cut at the lowest levels of education and special education.

Staffing is a serious problem,expenditure is used poor to say the least.Pieces of expensive equipment in classrooms that are never even used.Fabulous principal,unfortunate outcome.

Aside from being a Blue Ribbon school with extraordinarily high test scores and grades, Harborfields has a really strong sense of community that I think is very important. Overall, I'd say my experience there was nothing short of wonderful. Teachers are A+, students (for the most part) are the same. HFamily forever!!
