- Brooklyn Ascend Charter School opened in September 2008 and is Ascend Learning’s flagship school.Brooklyn Ascend Rockaway Parkway Campus servesstudents in kindergarten through third grade, most of whom live in the school’s district of residence, Community School District 18. The Brooklyn Ascend East 98th Street Campus serves students in grades 4 through 8.The Rockaway Parkway campus school occupies 60,000 feet over five floors in a newly constructed building. The design features abundant natural light from four sides of the property, spacious classrooms, and a rooftop playground.
